It's A Trust Fall, Baby

What if we just fall? PINK’s song “Trustfall” sums up life, in my opinion. Her lyrics are potent. They showcase how we can live so rooted in fear, we do nothing. We hide from the light, we’re too scared to fight.

Possibly we’re afraid if we take that fall, we may never stop falling. Maybe on the other side of action, it offers the unknown, and that’s scary [for me it is]. What I do know is that staying in the same place can be more painful than taking that fall. And even though this may sound cliché, through discomfort and change is where growth happens, it’s where the magic is born.

I don’t know about you, but for me, living in fear is exhausting and a complete waste of time and energy. There’s so much freedom when we let go and just fall.

When I look back at my life, and I feel fearful of the future, I look at all the opportunities life has given me. All have led me to this very moment in time. Some were a bag of shit, but I always learned something. I always grew.

My 3 Biggest Takeaways:

1. We have no control over people, places and things, but we can control how we show up and react to life. We have a choice.

2. No matter how challenging something is, we’re stronger than we think. We’re resilient.

3. When change happens and doors close, it opens space for something new and more aligned with our soul and life’s purpose.
