Synchronicity

Synchronicity. I love this word.
When things feel aligned. When you feel like everything happens seamlessly. When you see there's a plan for you, for us, for the world. When faith is renewed. When you're reassured that the hard work you've done is paying off. This is what Synchronicity looks like to me. Of course you may feel differently. There's no right or wrong interpretation.
This past year I've done a lot of inward work. The Journey through Yoga Teacher Training, it's completion, and Brain Surgery forced me to look inside. As we all know, looking inside isn't always the happiest place but I believe it must be done to connect with our best self. We can choose to look inside or continue to stuff down the feelings. I've done both. I'm not perfect. However, I'm making a committed effort to heal myself.

Through Yoga, Daily Meditation and Journaling (I try to do daily but I'm human too), I've started to feel my heart more. I feel my calling and intuition on a deeper level. Instead of analyzing all situations, I now have a lot more clarity on what Dana needs.
A little story here...
A few months back I decided to take an Iyengar Chair Workshop at YogaWorks. Through online registration, I clicked the lovely 'receive newsletters/updates' from YogaWorks. A month passes, YogaWorks emails find my inbox, some I view, others I just delete. One catches my eye. It was for an intro to Urban Zen Integrative Therapy. I decided to sign up. No hesitation, I just went.
That same day I had also signed up for a Temazcal Sweat Lodge Ceremony. I had recently returned from Mexico and felt really ready and open to try the Ceremony.
When I arrived at the Ceremony, I was nervous. Unsure of what to expect but also excited to meet new like minded individuals. As we all sat around the fire, we shared our intentions for the sweat. Right before I shared, in walks one of the UZIT (Urban Zen Integrative Therapy) Teachers from earlier that day. He walked by the fire and sat next to me. I smiled. For me, that was the world telling me you're right where you should be.
After the fire, we talked. He said, when life syncs up, when you go with the current of life and have funny happenings like this one (him and I meeting at the workshop and sweat lodge - not knowing each other before), it's Synchronicity. The world saying it's all good. You are okay.
So why did I want to share this story with you? I want you to know you're okay. I want you to know that you can follow your dreams. I want you to know it's never too late. I want you to know, listen to your heart and soul and not your head. Just go. Go to workshops, join Meetup groups, read books - do whatever your soul craves. I promise it will never fail you.
Much love & light xo
